The canon of St. Philips in the Hills was to have presided at our wedding, and we went to the Pre Cana conferences with John Kitigawa. However, his mother died a few days before our wedding day, as Rev. Vicki Hess, just newly ordained, stepped in. She came to our house to get to know us. It was her first wedding! And she did a great job.
