Our last day in San Miguel

We are winding down our stay in this wonderful city, trying to squeeze in as much as possible. We have made new friends and Lynn reconnected with an old friend who lives here. When we return to Tucson, we will be able to upload photos, from a desk top computer, something we found impossible from the iPad.

We went to Queretero, a large city about an hours ride away. We took the bus and were on our own. The bus was very nice (no kidding) with two bathrooms, sandwich and soda provided as we got on the bus. Our visit has included everything from seeing Mexican Beatles (who were excellent) to a bullfight, fabulous food, Ginger margaritas, art cocktail party, cooking classes, etc.

We will be back in Tucson tomorrow night. We were saddened to learn of the shootings this past Saturday. We have been following the medical updates of Gabby Giffords and others, who are recovering. We learned this morning that President Obama will be attending a memorial service at University of Arizona to honor those killed or injured in this egregious event.

We are looking forward to welcoming Tom's sister, Mary Jo, and her husband, Don, to Tucson this coming Friday. Weather in Tucson is actually cooler than San Miguel, but just as sunny and dry.
